The holiday season is just around the corner, and Pendry Newport Beach is ringing it in with a lineup of inspired experiences—from seasonal dining and high tea to holiday cabanas and family celebrations. Here’s what’s on the calendar this year.
Chefsgiving at Garden Lawn
November 15, 6:30 p.m.
Pendry Newport Beach brings together some of Orange County’s most celebrated chefs for a cause. Guests will enjoy a lineup of classic Thanksgiving dishes, wine pairings, and live entertainment, with proceeds benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Tickets are $150 per person, including a $30 donation.
Holiday High Tea at Viamara at The Elwood Club
November 19–December 31, Wednesdays–Sundays, 12–3 p.m.
A Southern California take on timeless tradition. Enjoy premium teas, caviar, champagne, petite sandwiches, and house-made pastries served in a festive setting.
Festive Cabana Takeover x Roger’s Gardens
December 1–30, 12–4 p.m. or 6–10 p.m.
All poolside cabanas transform into cozy, glowing igloos dressed in seasonal décor, fire pits, and ambient music. Guests can indulge in a decadent fondue spread with gruyère, desserts, and signature holiday cocktails.
Mrs. Claus Story Time at The Cabaret at The Elwood Club
December 6, 13 & 20, 4–6 p.m.
A new seasonal tradition for the youngest guests. Families can enjoy storytelling, letter-writing, and crafts with Mrs. Claus. Complimentary for hotel guests and Elwood Club members.
Friendsgiving at SET Steak & Sushi
November 26, 5–10 p.m.
This Friendsgiving, let SET do the hosting. Enjoy a menu made for sharing—think Korean-style fried turkey, butter biscuits, yuzu coleslaw, and whipped potatoes—with a DJ setting the mood.
Thanksgiving by SET Steak & Sushi
November 27, 2–8 p.m.
A Thanksgiving feast without the cleanup. Enjoy elevated dishes like sweet potato gnocchi with Humboldt Fog and fried sage, Korean fried turkey with all the fixings, and caramel apple crostata with bourbon caramel.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
November 28, 4:30–7:30 p.m.
Kick off the season with Pendry’s iconic tree lighting. Guests can enjoy carolers, a hot chocolate bar, crafts, and a visit from Santa beneath the 30-foot fir. Complimentary for hotel guests, Elwood Club members, and locals.
Menorah Lighting Ceremony
December 14–22, Sundown
Celebrate Hanukkah with nightly menorah lightings, sweet bites of gelt, and dreidel spins—open to guests and locals.
Holiday Pastry Hour at Coffee Bar
Fridays & Saturdays in December, 2–4 p.m.
Warm up with a selection of holiday pastries, from cinnamon rolls and festive princess cake to handmade chocolate bark and cookie tins.
Breakfast with Santa at Viamara
December 21, 8–10 a.m.
Families can enjoy breakfast, live holiday music, cookie decorating, and photos with Santa. $77 per adult, $53 per child, includes a holiday stuffed animal.
2026 at SET Steak & Sushi
December 31, starting at 5 p.m.
Ring in the new year in style with a four-course prix-fixe dinner, live music, and a midnight countdown. $195 per person.
